Happy Dragon Boat Festival ！

The Dragon Boat Festival, which is also called the Dragon Boat Festival,  an ancient Chinese traditional festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It is one of the three most important of the annual Chinese festivals. For thousands of years, various celebrating activities are held all around the country. Eating zongzi and racing dragon boats are the most pertinent ones, which are said to be in memory of Qu Yuan, a great poet.

To the Chinese the fifth lunar moon is more than just the Dragon Boat Festival. Since antiquity, the Chinese have believed that this month is a pestilential and danger-fraught period. The day of the Dragon Boat Festival is customarily the time when cleaning and sanitationare stressed. Most families hang calamus and artemisia above their doors, both as a decoration and as a preventive against pestilence.

Zongzi is one of the traditional food with the most profound cultural accumulation in Chinese history. It is also the most important food in The Dragon Boat Festival. Due to the different eating habits in different places, zongzi has formed the flavor of the north and the south, and there are many kinds. There is a kind of mung bean zongzi made with mung beans suitable for summer consumption. It is refreshing, not greasy and delicious.
